Man In Motion is auditioning intermediate/advanced dancers (ages 9-18) in the DC, Maryland, and North Virgina area for a special halftime show performance for the NBA Brooklyn Nets game the Barclays Center. The Barclays Center (located in Brooklyn, NY) is a large indoor arena (with a 19,000-seat capacity) that has hosted some of the world's most renowned performers, including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Madonna, and The Rolling Stones, and is the home of the Brooklyn Nets. Dancers must: 
-- be ages 9-18 (females & males)
-- be skilled in hip-hop/street-jazz
-- be able to pick up choreography
-- be available for the game and all rehearsal dates

​How To Audition:
Submit this form. Submitting the form will add you to our audition waitlist. Online auditions will be the first round. You will be required to learn a hip-hop/street-jazz combination by video tutorial and email your video by a specified due date. In-person callbacks will take place in the DMV area in mid-October.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How many dancers will be selected?
25 dancers have already been cast for this performance, and we are looking for an additional 25 dancers.

When will auditions be held?
Online auditions will occur at the beginning of October, and in-person callbacks will occur in mid-October. Specific audition information will be emailed to you on or around Oct 5. 

When/where are the rehearsals?
Rehearsals will be held in the DMV area on Sunday mornings/afternoons. Specific dates and location will be emailed to you on or around Oct 5. 

When/where does the performance take place? The halftime performance takes place during the NBA Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclays Center in New York City. Performance dates are November or January. Specific dates will be announced on or around Oct 5. 

Is there a fee for the audition?
Yes! A nominal audition fee is required to hold your audition slot/review your video submission. The fee also includes written feedback (via email) from the producer/choreographers on the audition video you submit.

How do I get tickets for the performance/game?
Tickets are included in the experience and access to those tickets and/or any participation fees will be announced via email once chosen to perform.
